What do
we do?
Managing Work and FamilyŽ...
Managing Work & Family, Inc.
was co-founded in 1987 by Bonnie Michaels, to
encourage and assist employers to create a corporate culture with
supportive benefits and policies that enable employees to successfully
balance their work and personal responsibilities.
Since 1987, we have
- provided organizations information,
long-term strategies and programs for creating a work environment
conducive for employees with work-life issues; and
- provided effective problem-solving
methods, resources and information for employees so they can be
empowered to help themselves.
For organizations, the outcomes of
these dual strategies has been higher employee productivity, improved
recruitment, retention, and morale. It has also enhanced the
organization's image as "worker-friendly."
The outcomes for individuals who
have a variety of work and personal lives conflicts have been extensive.
Many testimonials have expressed that they feel more control and have
better problem-solving methods to handle day-to-day conflicts. They feel
less stressed and better able to handle their many roles.
The firm has a well-documented history of
assisting hundreds of organizations with
problem-solving strategies and creative solutions for developing
comprehensive and well-integrated work-life programs. Managing Work
& Family has accomplished this through a variety of cost-saving
mediums such on-site consultations, needs assessments, working with task
forces, telephone conversations, publications,
videos, speeches, and radio/T.V.
appearances.
Currently, we are partnering with organizations such as Take Back Your Time, www.timeday.org, to create change through legislation as well as problem-solving with organizations in their membership. We are dedicated to finding better ways to help individuals to balance their lives.
In addition to these iniatives, new research is showing that children aren’t spending enough time in nature. As a result, we are working on a book to help busy families with strategies to integrate nature into their family lives . |
